winamp doesn't show tag informations

Hello,

I use winamp 5.05 for a long time. But recently when Winamp read new mp3's it doesn't show the tag-information for album, year, track, genre and comment although they are shown in the mpeg file info box. I use id3v1/id3v2 tags. It would be very nice if someone could help me.

Do you have a third party MPEG auio/MP3 plug-in (EG MP3pro or InMad)? If so, disable or uninstall it.

Thanks for your answer. I'm not sure if I have a plug-in I should uninstall. I have written down all plug-ins I have installed. Can you help me which plug-in I should uninstall?
These are my plug-ins:

- CD/LineIn Plugin (CDDB2) v3.02
- DirectShow Decoder v0.93
- Midi Player 3.07
- Module Decoder v2.2.11
- mpeg audio decoder 3.04
- mp4 demuxer v0.4
- nsv decoder v1.03
- vorbis decoder v1.35
- waveform decoder v2.06
- wma plug-in v2.03

You don't have any third party MP3 plug-ins, so nothing to uninstall.

Maybe the following settings suggestions...

1. Ctrl+P
2. General Preferences > Titles
3. make sure 'Use advanced title formatting when possible' is checkmarked

also

1. Ctrl+P
2. Plug-ins > Input
3. double click 'Nullsoft MPEG Audio'
4. make sure is 'Read ID3v1/v2 tags for titles' is checkmarked also under "Tag writing from media library" make sure 'ID3v1' and 'ID3v2' are checkmarked

Thanks for your help but these settings were already checkmarked.

I have read in a german forum about this problem, but for winamp 3, maybe it works also for winamp 4. They suggested this:

Search doesn't work / Tags don't update / File names don't read correctly:
Completely un-install Winamp3 and re-install WITHOUT the Internationalization support.

They said, it's from the winamp forum, but I can't find it.

I don't understand what the internationalization support means and how to re-install winamp without that. Maybe you can help me?

1. There is no Winamp 4.

2. Complete uninstall/reinstall instructions for Winamp 5 can be found here.

3. Internationalization support was buggy component for Winamp3 and it is not included with Winamp 5. So, you don't have to worry about that.

I know that there is no winamp 4, sorry.
I have completely uninstalled winamp and than re-installed and after that I have installed my plug-ins - and Winamp read the tag-informations correct. I think the problem was because I have changed some settings in winamp. But I'm not sure which setting I have changed. When I have found it out I will post it.
