I'm working on using mirc, everytime I setup my servername and try to connect, it says not connected and the mirc options window pops up, what's the deal?

The deal is right there in your own post:The reason may vary. A partial list of probable reasons are as follows:

• You have got the wrong server name.
• You have got the wrong port.
• Your connection requires login and you have not logged in.
• Your connection requires login and you have typed in your login credentials wrong.
• You have not plugged in the network / telephone / coaxial cable.
• A rat chewed through your network / telephone / coaxial cable.
• The ATF is about to raid your home and they have cut all your connections off.
• A terrorist generated a large electromagnetic pulse which has shutdown all telecommunications equipment.
• You did not pay the bills for your Internet account.
• Mom decided to set up firewall policies to restrict your activity online.
• The server is down; try again later.

Need more info such as which network you're connecting to, which server, penis size, weight, height, oh wait.. yeah just the first two.

Any server I try does this, just an example: irc.z irc.org

Using windows xp firewall, not SP2.. A few weeks ago I could connect fine :igor:

take out the space in the address maybe.

I added the space because together it gets blocked out:

irc.****.org

see?

o ic. Well is there an error message in the STATUS WINDOW? It should say connection timed out or something. Make sure you use port 6667

Whenever i'm connecting I get:
* Connect retry #6 irc.****.org (6667)

* Firewall: Unable to find firewall address

options-->connect-->firewall
firewall support: none
