Can't move songs.

Last night I hooked up my iPod mini and removed a few songs. I tried to reorganize my place list, but winamp kept crashing as I tried to move my cursor over the menu option that had sort in it. I tried this a few time and then realised that my iPod was starting to duplicate the playlists that were on it. I now had two copies of every play. So I went I removed them, but then I saw that my iPod was also reading that there were now 2 copies of every song as well. I ejected it & unplugged it figuring that it was just a glitch and plugged it back in. Now it was reading as if I had 3 copies of every song. :(

Taking the universal solution #3, I deleted everything and then replace everything. When I deleted 1 song all the copies (of that song) disappeared. Ok, so that was just a d-base error. I was still getting rid of everything. Once they were all gone, I started trying to put songs back on, but it wouldn't let me. The window would pop up but nothing would happen. It would just disappear after a couple of seconds. Some songs would transfer, but only a few.

Any recommendations on how to fix this, or am I going to need to take a step up the universal solution ladder and go to formatting (something which I haven't done yet and I'm hesitant to do, because I'm running win98se and can only manipulate things via this plug-in).

Bump!

Anybody? I formatted my iPod and I'm able to readd most songs now, but there are still several that I'm unable to move over. Anybody got any idea why it will let me move some files, but not others?

I fixed a similar issue by formatting the ipod (using the apple tool) then doing a clean install of winamp and ml_ipod.

I found a fix...I don't understand it, but it worked anyway. I deleted my media library and readded everything and it worked. Go figure.
