mp3 lame encoder problem

when i'm trying to encode on nsv live streaming in low bitrate (less than 40kbps) I've a error message "error creating audio compressor". the Lame version is v1.01

Low bit rate (Less than 36 kbs) MP3 audio encoding using LAME.

You must download the latest LAME souce package from lame.sourceforge.net and compile it to obtain lame_enc.dll. You must then replace the lame_enc.dll in the nsvtool package with the file that you just compiled. You will have more options on the bit rate using this new compiled lame audio encoder.

thanks, but it's better but it's giving me till 32kbps and i want 8 kbps.

A bitrate that low is not supported in a NSV stream with Mp3 encoding.

yosi1979 30th November 2004 08:31

so what's the lowest supporrted bitrate ? and which codec support the lowest bitrate ?

Inventive Soft 4th December 2004 17:55

Currently there isn't one. I'm planning on a WMA coder, which SHOULD have support for the low bitrates. I'm guessing it's voice encoding you want?

yosi1979 7th December 2004 06:56

yes.

what u suggests me to do now? bcz the audio wasting my bitrate instead of video.

Germ 7th December 2004 07:05

try using aac?

yosi1979 12th December 2004 09:34

how to install it suitable with NSV ?

darkstar2002c 12th December 2004 10:16

Find someone who has AAC, that is your solution if you want low-bitrate sound but still want pretty good quality. Low bitrates with MP3Lame are impossible with NSVEnc and even if they were possible the sound quality isnt that great. With AAC this is somewhat possible but when going to such low bitrate you always sacrifice quite a bit.

How to set up AAC audio.

If it's low bitrate you want, perhaps you want another file format. WMV is pretty good for this. Low bitrate, good quality, voice encoding.

are you calling yourself a newb because you cant compile it/find the right driver, or what?

i'm confused!

djbox 14th December 2004 12:35

well i downloaded the lame source and looked for that .dll but couldnot find it. Somewere in this tread it says to Conpile the source. i have no idea wat that is

sankt 14th December 2004 19:44

The source code is provided so that individuals may compile their own dll file. No DLL files or executables are provided.
