I'd like a script, but I can't code it.
I am discovering the joys of downloading (legal  ) mp3's. Yet I am very picky in the way they are named, one of my tweaks I guess, like the twitch thing.
Most mp3's I get come in the format: naff band - super naff song.mp3 when I'd like them to be in this format: Naff Band - Super Naff Song.mp3 Yes, I know it's just changing it Caps title, but like I said, it's one of my tweaks. Also, some Tracks come in the format: balls band - balls album - balls song.mp3 when I want them to be in Balls Band - Balls Song.mp3 Simple thing right, just rename them. Yet for some reason my crap PC can take up to half a minute to bring up the right-click menu, so if I have 20 (legal  ) mp3's, it can take ages. So I was wondering if anyone knew of a place where I can get a script to just rename all of the tracks in a folder to my preferred format, or even would be nice enough to quickly write one. I know I'm being a right biatch here asking this, but I already know I'm a biatch, and since the only coding skill I have is some very basic HTML, knowledge, this is the only place to go. |
Write all your changes up in a simple batch file , run batch file , sit back and watch it do it's stuff.
rename MY_MP3.mp3 My_Big_Fat_Mp3.mp3 etc etc etc etc Or get a program to do it for you. http://www.snapfiles.com/get/bfrenamer.html |
I tried the program you linked to, but didn't like it. So i tried the .bat way, but as my files have spaces in (crap band - crapsong.mp3) it didn't work. Any other ideas?

Yeah, use an underscore instead of spaces...oldskool :)
