Bose's leaping Lexus.

I read a small article in the latest issue of Motor Trend, and I tried to find the link on MT's website, but had no luck. I found more about it on the official Bose website, though.

http://www.bose.com/ => Learning Center => Bose Suspension System

It's a new type of automotive suspension system developed by Bose Laboratories. I found it quite intriguing, and pretty cool that they made a 2-ton Lexus jump over a 2x6 wood plank placed vertically on the road in front of it. Spiffy. :)

Sorry for not linking directly to it, but Bose's site uses sessionid's and crap.

Pretty nifty

You need to click on Learn about Bose Technology to get to Suspension System

You mean as in the Wave Radio?

mark 11th December 2004 23:03

yeah.

Did you read that review?

The Model 88, simply, is $200 less expensive and sounds a lot better. What I found most disappointing given the price of the Wave was the bass extension and quality and the overall fidelity.

yeah. the technology still seems cool though.

If this car drives as good as their speakers sound you can count me the fuck out!

Well, I'm quite happy with my set of 301s. I've listened to quite a few high fidelity stereo speaker sets, and to me, this set sounds at least as good as lots of sets that cost hundreds of dollars more.

Oh man, I really don't want to get into an argument about Bose's sound quality. The main reason: There is no reasoning with a person who thinks that Bose makes anything other than overpriced plastic toys. Im serious here, take a look at what the speaker industry thinks of Bose. Go to an Home audio forum and search for Bose. You might say, "Well, I like how they sound and that is all that matters." If this is your opinion, you are disgracing the musical artists you listen to every time you play them on a Bose system. Check out these links:

These people know what they are talking about.

sgtfuzzbubble011 12th December 2004 05:35

I didn't say anything about the actual quality of the speaker's sound. I just said that I like them. I prefer my speakers over lots of other, more expensive speaker sets I've listened to. What's the big deal? I'm sorry you don't like Bose, but that's your opinion, and I respect that. But don't go telling me that I "disgrace musical artists" just because I listen to them on a set of Bose speakers.

At any rate, their suspension system has nothing to do with my speakers. Personally, I think it's quite innovative.

elitist wankers...

I wouldn't buy a car with their suspension without doing a double-blind test first.
