Posting the link now, will bitch about the rankings after a more thorough look. :D

Out of 500 they found room for an astounding 4 metal albums. With the first coming in at 130.

Spazz333 12th December 2004 08:25

I'm not gonna bitch too much. I found nothing I disagree with on the top 200 at least.

193. Dookie, Green Day

200. The Downward Spiral, Nine Inch Nails

I don't really wanna look any farther, don't wanna jinx it.

Yeah, and in front of that are 3 Sly and the Family Stone albums (with a forth at 189 or so). Says a bit about Metal doesn't it? :p

I hate you.

gaekwad2 12th December 2004 11:38

I fell asleep halfway through the list.

zootm 12th December 2004 13:14

The Beatles don't deserve to be so high.

electricmime 12th December 2004 14:43

doolittle by the pixies should have been higher, and i agree.. too many of the beatles albums were too high..

and i dont care if there are 500, there should be no greatest hits collections in there... that alone makes me hate the list

I remember hearing about a top 500 song list. Does anyone know if it exists and has a link for it? Or am i just crazy?

Am i the only person who thinks that it is ridiculous to even attempt to organize a list of the "top 500 albums ever". How do they even rate one album against another? Saying that Sgt. Pepper's is better or worse than Appetite for Destruction is like saying an avocado better or worse than an octopus.

They even have jazz albums in this list!! how can you even begin to compare that?!

I would understand if it was "top 500 hundred selling albums" or something...
