Get currently playing song and artist
 

I need to know how to pull the song name and artist from the currently playing song into a variable for use in the minibrowser. That's all. After that, I'm going to put them into a search query.

Have looked at IPC_GETPLAYLISTTITLE in winamp\wa_ipc.h ?

This seems to only work for plugins, correct?

I tried using this from an external app and all it returns is the song index (in the playlist).

Is it possible to retrieve this info if using an external app?
