Problem and question

Ignore. Fixed

Delete your post then? This is a waste of space.

Click edit this post then check the "delete post" checkmark and press "delete now". Saying you have a problem then saying to ignore this post is just a waste of time and rather stupid. Next time, why not just delete the post?

Because he can't delete his post.
Now who looks stupid, darkstar?

I see that while the feature is listed, the ability to actually use the feature is not allowed. Shouldnt a user be able to delete their own posts, in a situation like has happened where the user no longer needs "help" or wants their post to be shown? For example, when someone decides to go completely nuts but then comes back to their senses shouldnt they be able to remove their post as to spare the laughter/anger/whatever? Or, perhaps is this feature not enabled for the sake of giving us posts to laugh at (temporarily at least) until they are removed by a moderator?

Why is the delete feature listed if it cannot be used (and is this feature available to any user level other than moderators? So far as I can tell junior members have no access nor do regular members).

I totally agree. Users should be able to delete their own posts, for new threads like this, or accidental double posts. It would be nice for people to be able to fix their mistakes instead of editing the post stating "double post, delete this one" and waiting on a mod to do the job.

When you are a senior member, you can edit your own posts. I don't know about deleting one. I never tried.

Inedible Bulk 22nd December 2004 03:10

you dont have to be a senior member to edit, persiansniper (creater of thread) is a junior member and yet he edited his post.

i'm pretty sure that noone cept mods can delete them, which is odd, when it seems that someone could just delete a problem like this thread was, where they fixed it before the first reply.
