as far as i know, there is no difference between 5.07 and 5.08 except for the emusic bundle crap.

there were the fixes to in_mp4 and in_cdda though i've no idea why they've been dropped but my version says they're in there so i'm happy as can be

But seriously, I actually kinda liked the eMusic trial thing. 50 free songs sounded cool, so I tried it out and it surprisingly wasn't a scam. (I just wish it didn't put that annoying eMusic icon on the taskbar; was rather easy to get rid of though.)

i'd rather not have to get rid of it. i'm going to stick with 5.07 i guess.

Or get the 5.08 without the eMusic crap. You know, the standard Lite/Full/Pro installers?

5.08full comes with the emusic stuff. i'm not sure about lite though.

try downloading it right now. the full version installer file name is "winamp508_full_emusic-7plus". that has the eMusic junk in it. http://www.winamp.com/player/full.php
