I'm out sick from school today.


I think I might have strept throat.


This sucks. Anyone else get sick lately? Anyone else ever have strept throat?

I had mono once, it was a pathetic disease IMO. It did not live up to the hype at all. I was out for a week but even then I wasn't even sleeping all day or anything.

Supposedly people can have mono for months and it totally wipes them out so they're pretty much sleeping most of the time.

Oh well, the pain killers I got for it were fun. I'm also not sure why I got pain killers for mono either, I wasn't really in any pain.

If you have strep throat you should go to the doctor and get some drugs, you don't want it to progress it becomes scarlet fever or something else ridiculous like that.

My friend had strept throat and mono at the same time. He wasn't in school for almost two weeks and he lost 20 lbs along with the muscle he had.

i've had strep throat a few times, got over it 2 days after they gave me the medication.

I had strep a few times. The Doc gave me a bottle of this pink stuff and I got to stay home from school for a week.

You got lucky. I had it, was out 3 months from school. My friend got it to, he missed 6-9 if I remember correctly. What I do remember was him in the hospital. It whipped him so bad he literally could not move. He lost 60 lbs (he only weighted about 145-155 when he got it) from the thing, had to be fed via tubes in the hospital.

It seems everyone is getting sick down here. 2 of the people I work with are real sick. I hope I dont catch it.

i've had a headache off and on for almost 2 weeks. no matter what i do i can't get rid of it. the non-asprine stuff only takes it down a notch for a while.

what are ths symptoms for this?

I'd better - I'm supposed to go snowboarding tomorrow.

I think I have mono. This will make the third time I've had it. Yuk.

I've had mono, and lost a bit of weight. The thing that got me was not having any energy. I think it took me over a year to gain back the ten lbs I had lost.

I've also had strep throat numerous times. Finally, after the 6th bout, they took out my tonsils and I haven't had an issue since then.

What is strept throat. I rarely get sick, but when I do it's usually always a sore throat or a headache. I haven't been really sick in a couple of years now..

All i no is that its a very, very sore throat that dosent get better without foul tasting medicine.

1st thing, what the hell is mono? I've never heard of it.

2nd thing, I felt a but shit today, had a nasty headache and had to sleep it of a couple of hours, and apparently I look pale, but I reckon I was just dehydrated from taekwondo.

its a viral infection sometimes referred to as the kissing disease.

you get fever, sore throat, you are always tired+weak.

Aha, we call it glandular fever here.

You know, humidifiers and nyquil work wonders for almost any sore throat (that usually appears at night, if you'll notice.)
