True colour compatiblity
 

A small skin to correct the buffer light display in Winamp's default.

Though I doubt many people here use the default skin ;)

Is it just me, or is the background of the balance slider different as well?
In your version, it's a square, while in the original version the ends are rounded of... (screenshot)
Dunno how that's even possible, but well...

Other than that, it's working :)

Be amazed if it was as there is only one file in that zip and it's not balance.bmp...

If there's no balance.bmp in the file, it grabs the animation from the volume.bmp and crops it.

Oh yeah, forgot about that, super gay way of doing things :D

You're quite right siebe the corners are squared off in the new one.

As Mr Jones says there's only PLAYPAUS in the new skin so don't get it either.

So, back to the drawing board then. I'll break out the hex editor and see if making the new bmp the same length as the original will fix it.

Just out of interest - the NUMBERS bitmap is not strictly true colour compatible, but displays o.k.

my monitor sucks. i can only see 16bit colors max.

I always loved the classic skin, but wanted to do a truecolour version also, and by the time I dissected the skinfile and worked out what to do to fix it, I figured I may as well shiny it up too. Hence my attempt below, called Shiny Classic.

It's done and submitted (still waiting for publish day tho..)

(Or you could have clicked the link in the thread you just posted in, in which someone asked about the base skin and someone answered. Or would that be too much trouble?)
