The only thing that I've heard about the Oscars was that Mr Clint Eastwood wave his mother :) and he wins some of the most important categories

Tim Robbins is one of my favorite actors =)

I'm glad Jamie Foxx won for "Ray". He was amazing in that movie.

I didnt get to watch most of the oscars and I don't have TiVo so oh well :( But I heard about this on radio and the pic makes him look like hes just jokin around with him so it seems all in good fun.

I wish Hotel Rawanda won something but regardless its still a good movie.

Yeah it was in good fun. Tim walked onto the stage laughing. I want to see hotel Rawanda but the theaters didn't show it (of course). I'll have to wait until its out in video.

The oscars are for females, people in entertainment and gay men.

EDIT: by the way, their all white. Chris Rock is to throw you off :p

Really cuz I could have sworn that Jamie Foxx and Oprah and Woopie and Beyonce were kinda black.

Coman 3rd March 2005 02:48

Leo should've taken the best leading actor in aviator.

TheMilhouseMan 3rd March 2005 03:51

No he shouldn't have. the best man won for best actor....I am sure there are a lot of people that would agree.

manthabeats 3rd March 2005 06:16

I disagree. Aviator was much better.

bgesley 3rd March 2005 21:30

Its a complete fucking slap in the face to Martin losing to Clint Eastwood for best direction. You've got to be shitting me. Martin has created some of the most memorable peice of cinema and he has NEVER won an Oscar or even an Emmy. Its a complete slap in the face.

Maybe its the whole east versus west fued but still they are blatantly disrespecting him. Goodfellas loses to Dances with Wolves? are you kidding me? Gangs of New York loses to a shitty musical Chicago?

At least he got the Golden Palm for Taxi Driver.

manthabeats 3rd March 2005 21:33

I can see how Gangs of NY lost, that wasn't that great imho. But I agree, Martin deffinitely got jipped. Maybe they figure Clint won't be around much longer (he is getting old and raggedy.) Of course, Martin isn't exactly young either. I would have liked to see him win.

bgesley 3rd March 2005 21:42

I thought that at least Gangs of New York with Daniel Day Lewis's performance alone beat out Queen Latifa, Renee Zellwegger, and Catherine Zeta Jones's parts combined.

manthabeats 4th March 2005 00:56

Chicago was pretty bad, but Gangs of New York wasn't exactly good either. I think the second LOTR should have won that year because all the other films sucked.

2002 Best Picture

* Chicago -- Martin Richards, Producer
Gangs of New York -- Alberto Grimaldi and Harvey Weinstein, Producers
The Hours -- Scott Rudin and Robert Fox, Producers
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers -- Barrie M. Osborne, Fran Walsh and Peter Jackson, Producers
The Pianist -- Roman Polanski, Robert Benmussa and Alain Sarde, Producers

bgesley 4th March 2005 02:45

Roman Polanski was a big surprise that year too.
