Can Any One Tell Me Do You Need To Go By The Rules Just To Play Elvis Tribute Artist Thes Guys Just Sing Elvis Songs i was told to play elvis tribute artist i stiil have to go by the rules of The DMCA aRE wHAT eVER yOU cALL IT im Trying To Tell Every One You Do Not Need PERMISSION TO PLAY THE E.T.A They Are not The Real Elvis I know there Is Some elvis radios on here maybe you can help and will take any help any one can give me on this Thanks http://tributeradio.***********/

You will need the permission of the written work. Which could be elvis (his estate) and even others who helped in writing his songs.

I am not an intellectual property lawyer. Contact one if you want to be certain.

If your listed playlist is your entire playlist, it'll be impossible to be DMCA-compliant anyway.

DMCA dictates that you can play no more than X number of songs by any artist in any given hour. I think that number of songs is three or so but don't have the information in front of me. Also to avoid other issues you also need to be licensed by whichever royalty organization holds the Elvis catalog and also need licensing from Soundexchange.

You can do as many do here and just run illegally but if you do you have to ask yourself if it will be worth it if you get sued by the RIAA, the artists organization, the owner of the works, etc., etc. because although it's rare people have gotten nailed and trust me, when you get into tens and hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines if it happens is it worth it - but that's a decision you have to make.
