spamming bastards

some asshole has decided to send spam with my domain spoofed in the address, so people are now getting spam "from my domain" additionally, tons of spam is getting bounced and sent back to the fake addresses at my domain and thus, I am recieving all of these bounced spams in my inbox.

spammers are dicks

CaboWaboAddict 18th March 2005 18:10

Happens at my work address all the time. I actually got an email from a friend asking "who I was" because he couldn't believe I was spamming for a porn site.

Everyday I get at least 4 "undeliverables" in my inbox.

Mattress 18th March 2005 18:52

is there anything that can be done about it?

Spazz333 18th March 2005 19:12

Yup, explosives. May only stop one spammer but it'd sure be fun.

xzxzzx 18th March 2005 20:09

Hehe. This is what Domain Keys is supposed to help with.

Mattress 19th March 2005 02:25

hmm, I'll look into that.

Print 20th March 2005 02:33

Yeah.. fucking spammers.

What's worse is people actually purchase products within SPAM messages that keep these bastards in business..

manthabeats 23rd March 2005 21:57

I had to block all emails to my domains because the spammers were spoofing my addresses too. I never get any spam now.

MegaRock 23rd March 2005 22:55

Once I blocked the Asia Pacific Network subnets I get virtually no spam at all. It seems that is the center of the world when it comes to hosting spam mail servers and spammers websites.

This wouldn't fix my problem since I'm not getting mail from spammers I'm getting mail from people who got spam that had a spoofed address with my domain on it.

manthabeats 25th March 2005 05:49

My spam consisted of fake usernames @ ubstudios.com. I just put accept mail from my addresses only, sure helped alot. I use the same filter in my Yahoo account and rarely get spam, (I'd say one a week.)

Mattress 26th March 2005 04:21

yeah I don't want to do that because I like to put the names of places I register at in to the e-mail address I use to register at various places, that way I know where crap is coming from, like if I registered at the forums here I'd put winamp@freesand as my e-mail. then I if started getting spam sent to that address I'd know who to blame for it. Also I can then just block mail sent to winamp@freesand to avoid it.
