I think American Idol is seriously a scam.

i like the auditions when the season starts. after that it sucks.

I take no one's heard the news about Paula Abdul? She's been discovered rigging votes, passing information to contentants that she's not supposed to, having inappropriate relationships with contestants....

I suspected the whole thing was a scam a while back, and now those suspicions are confirmed. If they'd fire Paula and Simon, the show may have a chance to recover and actually have a positive reputation. Not going to happen, though.

Simon is a major part of the show. people like Simon for some reason. the show should probably just be canceled or something.

Most people I've talked to like Simon because he's "funny". I guess I was just thinking of the show the wrong way...it's a comedy. :)

I thought it was hilarious when he told constantine his performance of "bohemian rhapsody" was "astonishing". For the next week all I heard was everyone wondering how he meant the word, good or bad. He clarified he meant it in a good way later :p

When AI states that it can choose the winner, even if the popular votes go otherwise, you know the whole thing is a scam. Fox is just after the ratings and money.

And it's pretty damn funny to go to their message boards and read the rabid fans' posts. Those people are nuts :blah:

What? A mass public event with hundreds of thousands of dollars (if not millions, Olympics) invested in it just might be rigged!?

Why? The point of the show is to create a media sensation around someone, and sell records. It's in the show's benefit to not be rigged...
