dude, shut up and stop derailing threads. You need not comment on every single post. Take it to PM's if you need to, but you've derailed more threads than most trolls I've seen around here.

Print 10th May 2005 23:49

What the fuck.

I was just responding to Fickle's post.. I didn't derail this thread.

In fact almost all of my comments in this thread have been related to the topic. My last two might not have been, but my other like 8 have been. I'm sure it's clear to everyone who has read this thread that I have been discussing wishes.

What because you've seen me derail some other threads and catch some static you want to jump on the band wagon.

That's just sad man, get a life.

ScorLibran 10th May 2005 23:52

Goddammit you guys. Stop it.

Print 10th May 2005 23:55

Right. Anyway Scor - were your wishes serious?

BTW that girl's face looks weird, very weird.

ScorLibran 11th May 2005 00:07

Say the truth...If she were the only girl on Mars and you were there with her, you'd hit it. ;)

Wish 1: Money. Lots of money. To the tune of several billion USD.
Wish 2: Knowledge of, and ability to manufacture, nanomachines.
Wish 3: Functioning time machine.

Print 11th May 2005 00:40

I don't know. Time has always seemed like something you are best not to mess with.

I have the feeling I would be that kind of guy who would go back in time to prevent disasters, or steal someone ideas.

Either way, that can't be good for the future..

ScorLibran 11th May 2005 00:41

Lemme guess...

You wanna infiltrate The Spanish Inquisition with nanotechnology?

Let the Monty Python references begin...........

Nanomachines..interesting. Have you read Prey by Chricton(sp!?)? (If not, just read a review, it won't suck as much)

As for time travel, it seems kind of pointless to me. If I were to travel back in time, I'd try to fix my life. I'd be terribly tempted to do that, and then I'd be like Marty McFly and dissappear. No thanks. I may not like where I am, but damn, It could be worse, I could fucking dissappear.

ShyShy 11th May 2005 05:14

That and you could possibly change something that could result in your own death. Meaning you traveled back in time only to kill yourself.

That or possibly end the world in some way.. I get the feeling i'd do something like that. :hang:

Yeah he likes to send himself naughty messages. :D

Sorry ShyShy, I couldn't resist. :) Though my post above shows I am definately not trying to hijack this thread...

ever read pastwatch by orson scott card? I would like to do that, to be able to observe the past, but not interact. I think that would be cool, and less dangerous.

Figuratively as well as physically. To know how others perceive people and things would be awesome.

LMAO. That one is too funny.

Also don't forget, they never said in what denomination.

What if your trying to buy 2005 Rolls Royce Phantom (at $230,000 U.S.) and get the money all in Mexican pesos? That one may end up hurting you :p

That's an interesting way of thinking.

I've always pondered this:

What if my color green, was my red in someone else's eyes. Steak may taste like chicken to one person, and chicken like Steak to the next. This may explain why everyone has different tastes, maybe we all like the same things, but those things are different to each one of us. Whoah huh

It get's you to thinking.

Kind of like how people with Ashburgers cannot read body language as well as the average person. Perception could be very interesting if you could see someone else's...

shakey_snake 11th May 2005 06:16

Take that farther.
What if your square was someone elses circle?
What if your sense of smell, was their sense of touch, and vice versa?

Well no, because whether or not we perceive things differently, our bodies, however they are perceived, are still similar.

Even if I look like a pinball machine to you, everyone else looks like a pinball machine as well - see what i'm saying.

Though the sounds we hear could be different, the smells we smell could be different (once again, going back to the fact that people like different smells more than other, and some find some smells to be gross while others don't).

But it's hard to think of how the circle/square thing could be put into words.

Shapes have to be in certain relation to each other, otherwise different people would have different physical possibilities. Then again, maybe that's why some people are stronger, or can run faster :p

Fascinating topic huh.

shakey_snake 11th May 2005 08:02

Yeah, I was kinda half-kidding.

It would be cool to have dragonball z powers, flying, instant transmission, blowing up mountains by pointing at them etc.

you are correct. now go drink bleach. see if it tastes like antifreezd.

as a variation, if you (anyone here) were a genie, what would your rules be about wishes?

I'm sure someone has already done a thread like this but I don't care. Also there are a few rules to the wishes:

1) no wishing someone dead

2) no wishing anyone back from the dead

3) no wishs for anyone to fall in "love" with anyone

This should be good.

I think these would be my rules; now quite trying to hijack my thread. Your post is yet more proof to the unjustice

1) no love-arranging,
2) no "more wishes" wishes,
3) no killing or sever maulings,
4) and no computers. :p

ShyShy 12th May 2005 00:08

I've figured what my third wish would be:

To have a good job that I would be happy with that had full health/dental benefits for myself and family. My wisdom teeth are killing me and we don't have any benefits right now so that I can take care of them :(
