Moore's movies range in substance from utter lies (1%) to cleverly concealed mistruths (90%) to true(ish) (but heavily distorted) facts (the remainder), and I would rather a movie that was totally dead-set against everything I stand for (but was truthful) was popular than Moore's, even if Moore's supported my political views.

In fact, I'd be even more pissed if I were liberal and any of his movies were supposed to be on "my side", because, fuck, that's an argument in and of itself in my mind by now:

"Well, it seems reasonable..."

"Yeah, but Moore made a movie in support of it."

"Oh. Nevermind then."

...

I don't hate Bush, in particular. I think he's terrible leader, but I think that of most US politicians :). And politicians in general! There are a few good points in a some of the stuff I've seen by Moore though, whereas Coulter has so far displayed nothing but nuttiness in my experience of her.

If you have an agenda of any kind or an opinion then you are likely to be a terrible journalist. Unfortunately many people see Moore as a journalist which is far from the truth. He practices his own style of propaganda which is entertaining but nowhere near balanced.
