retain filenames on iPod
Is there any possibility to retain the filenames as I gave them on Windows to the music-files?
When I copy them onto iPod they are named as e.g. ml_ipod02940.mp3 in the music-directory of the iPod. sorry for my english...I am german. |
Unfortunately no
Your English is just fine... Now my German is a different story.
TO answer your question. No you cannot retain your file names on the iPod, but if your tags are in good shape you can create a meaningfull file name when you copy your files from iPod to your computer. The whole key though is GREAT id3 Tags. you must be anal about your tags... Peace JMS :) |
ok :(

There are some new options in 1.20 beta 1 (see the stickey thread) which allow you to place music where you want and with any naming scheme you want. We have found that you can place music wherever you like and with whichever naming scheme and it seems to work fine.
