well it's upload speed is crap. and I can't wait for the RIAA to prosecute this :p

I have no idea what this topic is actually abut, but use Ares instead of Warez. Same network (so same users and files), but none of the ads you can see in Warez (plus none of the spyware that's probably in it too)

i've never gotten any spyware from warez, and the ads I can live with for the 30 seconds it takes me type a name and search, then the 10 seconds it takes me to narrow down the search, but i'll give ares a go :p

I generally use DC++ for my downloading needs, or Soulseek for more rare pieces of music.

Get yourself to Bitorrent and DC++ and you're good to go.
BUt, I've never heard of this one. Linux version ? LOL
