Where can I find a previous version of Winamp to download? Too many issues with the latest release. The last version I had worked fine (if it ain't broke, don't fix it). Oh well.

However, would you mind explaining "too many issues with the latest release."? Winamp 5.093 is slated to be released soon, but until then, what sorts of error messages or oddities are you experiencing? What are your system specs? Would you also post a HijackThis log?

Have you looked through the Greatest Hits forum, as well as the Troubleshooters sticky in Tech Support?

Have you tried a clean install?

1. When using the time-line bar on wmv files it locks up after 2-seconds. It plays all the way through if I don't scroll forward or backwards. Have to use ctr-alt-del.
2. No volume control with avi files only. I have to use the control panel for volume. (no error generated)
3. Occationally stops when playing mp3 files. Restart the file and it is fine. (no-error generated)
4. some mpeg files won't play at all, however they play with WMP-9.

using XP-SP1, sony vaio, 120 Gb, 2.8mhz.

I'll get you a log file as soon as i can.

Look in the first post below the discussion on gen_nomad for information on mp3pro. Are you trying to play files encoded in this format?

What MPG plugin are you using? Did you try in_mplayer? It may solve your avi issue as well (or if you are already using it, did it break it :p).

"Seeking may no longer works" means "seeking may no longer work" (ie. you move the seekbar and nothing happens), it doesn't mean "seeking may lock up the player".

Was this a clean install of 5.092 with no 3rd-party plugins?

Alas, we can't reproduce any of those issues, heh.
