Decent Punk-Pop Bands (apart from "The Donnas")?
This should be the emptiest thread going. :D
|
I see your genre bashing and raise you a good emo/punk - pop band.

You mean when they were just a second rate Buzzcocks copy?
How about http://66.154.8.9/Merchant2/graphics...001/569056.jpg |
:)Now you're talking. I got Rock Animals in an Our Price sale ('96), it was obviously the best pick of the bunch as I can't remember what else I bought.
Our Price is now an O2 mobile shop.... @Spazz - What's the best track on the album? |
Either No Cigar or Penguins and Polarbears. Hard to choose though, I love the whole cd.
|
Your forgetting the Ramones........ that was easy!!!
|
The Ramones are always overlooked, that's their fate. In a perfect world, they'd have been "The Overlooked".
|
Bloc Party?
Skew Siskin? |
I'd say Bloc Party are post-rock (like the 1,000 other retro bands that have sprung up). I much prefer post-rock to anything punk-pop has spewed up.
Skew Siskin? :D |
Skew Siskin is a German loud rock band, with a female singer, it borders on hard rock, you can check out "Album Of The Year", their last album to date, not the kind of stuff I'd listen to every day but who knows :D
You may also be interested in Sleater-Kinney, a bunch of girls who yell and think they play music (like a horrid version of the Donnas). |
Millencolin
What about Cheap Trick? :D |
Quote:
(That description doesn't fit anyway, out of all Riot Grrl bands they're the most 'proper Rock act'.) |
|
Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly.
