7.1 with winamp?
 

Hi

I have a 7.1 Dolby surround system for my PC, but if I a want to play my mp3's with winamp, the sound only comes out of the front right and the front left box, is it possible to have the sound on all boxes? the mp3's don't need to be in surround sound, I just want the sound from every box...

P.S. I have an Sound blaster audiogy 2 ZS an win XP Professional.

does it only work with the actually versions of winamp?? I have Version 2.78 and it doesn't work I think...

FYI, the Winamp pre-2.8 version of out_ds.dll didn't support DirectX 8.0 (which those instructions call for). 2.8x called for support for DirectX to go up to 8.0.

Why not upgrade to the most current version, and if you haven't upgraded for reasons that the new version has too much extra "stuff," just uncheck the things you don't want in the Full installer (IE the ML, Video support, etc).

I installed now the newest Version of winamp on my PC, and did the things that were written in the manual but it still doesn't work...
