Australian foreign exchange student

...or at least that's how I assume this one girl to be...

My Sociology class got some new people, largely students who already attend my school, except for one girl who's apparently from Australia, whom I assume is here on a foreign exchange program since she'll be going back by the beginning of the second semester (Jan. '06)...Havn't had the chance to talk to her and find out if she really is on exchange, and if so, what she's doing here in the first place (Not America in general, but why my drousy city of Louisvile, KY)...

Kinda cool to me, since she's a real Australian, and not some idiot with a horrible imitation accent... :p She's even got a weird laugh... :D

Evil Lu 31st August 2005 21:40

Excellent, she can give you proper lager. :D

hahah, you are joking right?

Evil Lu 31st August 2005 22:39

Even Australian lager is better than American lager.

Mr Jones 31st August 2005 22:46

Well ya, I guess that is true to a certain extent....

Bilbo Baggins 31st August 2005 23:04

An easy way to tell if she is an Aussie or not is to proclaim Andrew Flintoff as the new god of cricket. If she attempts to kill you, then she is a true convict.

ElChevelle 1st September 2005 00:46

Pour a bottle of water into her vagina.
If it swirls clockwise, then she is in fact Australian.

rockouthippie 1st September 2005 01:09

An aussie gal told me once. "Why is American beer like making love in a rowboat?" I said huh. "It's F*ing close to water".

I can fully recommend Australian women :D.

Much less BS than their american counterparts.

billyvnilly 1st September 2005 03:38

ask her if you can give her an australian kiss:p

Not according to some of the stories I've heard about my hubby's exes! :D And some gal-friends he's had over there years. Women are psychotic world-wide :igor:

Mr Jones 1st September 2005 07:28

This is true, I dated an Aussie chick years back, she was nuts, swore like a trooper, drank like a fish and would wrestle you to the ground as soon as look at you.

Funny name she had as well, Dave I think she said it was....

MaTTFURY 1st September 2005 07:33

not to spoil your fun but the australian *typical* stereotype now a days isnt a laid back aussie who drinks full lager beer and rides kangaroo's :igor:

PulseDriver 1st September 2005 07:34

lol

Mr Jones 1st September 2005 07:36

Awwww, cmon, tell me they at least still wrestle crocodiles on a regular basis?

Mr Jones 1st September 2005 07:38

MaTTFURY 1st September 2005 07:43

Her name was Kate, wished I'd married her, instead of my ex-wife. Even only being a little more than 5 foot tall, she'd toss a keg of Fosters through the windshield of your truck if you pissed her off.

But ya know. She didn't get pissed for no reason. I never gave her a reason.

This is something that I haven't found since. She didn't pick a fight over nothing, and a flower made her happy.

Not suffering from feminist weirdness, no man bashing, never dissed me and I didn't diss her.

I have always been sorry that circumstances made us stop seeing each other.

PulseDriver 1st September 2005 07:52

Aww... yeah. My love is in Australia too... She's not of Australian nature though... she's a student and wants to become a vet. And she will be gone for a few more years... but she's the one for me...

And she's very resonable... that's why I fell for her... and like you rockout, I've never met anyone like her lol

Maybe you some day will meet again.. who knows what paths life take.

Mrs_Mia_Wallace 1st September 2005 07:53

This reminds me of the good old days when I was a foreign exchange student :) I'm not Australian though but I really like the accent (and British accent as well). I really want to go there one day.

Mia

Hey baby.... *wiggles eyebrow*

/runs

rockouthippie 1st September 2005 07:59

Here's a rule I adhere to and I think it's sensible.

When I date a new woman. I ask her what she thinks of her father. If I hear the word bastard.

"Check please!"

If they love their dads, they might be able to love you. If they don't RUN!.

MaTTFURY 1st September 2005 08:22

this is true, people that are raised in Australia seem to have a good nature but always a nice laugh with some rum or beer and sausages on the bbq, and mia (I'd love to meet you) it's cool you take interest in Australia yeah i love tourism!

PulseDriver 1st September 2005 08:42

Heh... she love her dad... and her mother.. and even more the other way... ah well, if I follow your rule rouckout, I got pole position atm :)

My love work/study as a vet in Perth... west coast.

Rocker 1st September 2005 11:56

if she's from tasmania, she's probably imbred.

people from sydney are all gay/lesbian

Fuck...

"I don't follow cricket very much..."

I guess the general disconnection between women and sports is an international thing...

I noticed when I was talking to her too, I unintentionally started to mimic her accent on some words...I think I have a kangaroo stuck in my throat... :blah:

MaTTFURY 1st September 2005 23:26

heh heh heh, women don't follow sport, full stop.

MidnightViper88 2nd September 2005 01:03

I posted this on another forum, and they've twisted my words and made it seem like I was attracted with the Australian chick enough to go out on dates and stuff...

Do I really make it seem that way?

I have never seen a game of cricket played, nor have I ever seen footage, nor do I know anything whatsoever about the game except I'm fairly certain a ball is used.

rockouthippie 3rd September 2005 03:34

Kate played Rugby.

So did I. Cricket? I figured I absolutely had to know a gal that played Rugby.

benaw 3rd September 2005 06:13

i think australians are the best

MaTTFURY 3rd September 2005 07:17

well you'll just love me

General Geoff 3rd September 2005 08:48

Australia gets all the cars that Ford and Chevy can't build here due to emissions and crash testing. I'm jealous, it's like a hot rodder's paradise over there as far as the car market is concerned.

Is that a pic from another Kiwi loss? :p

iomegajaz 3rd September 2005 17:48

I think the number of Kiwi victories at Lords is about the same as the number of women in the Members' area.

Cognition 3rd September 2005 23:21

I have no witty comebacks that aren't lies. :(
:p

ShyShy 4th September 2005 22:27

Poor lil' Kiwi man...
