Winamp 5.1
 

after being bugged for times and times again to update (i mean redownload the entire package and reinstall) i did to to 5.1 today...

now everytime i start a track, the visualisation starts up..

kill the visualisation and change track, up it pops again! how do i turn that off?

also, why is it so slow to load up... v2.71 i used for a long time and it was quick and easy...

Preferences -> Plug-ins -> Uncheck 'Auto execute visualization plug-in on playback'

To disable the update message -> Preferences -> General Preferences -> Uncheck 'Check for new versions of Winamp at startup'

Use a classic skin to get the same speed as 2.x instead of the slower Modern skins. See http://www.daz.ne1.net/like_the_wind for more information..

thanks a million... it were doing my nut in... now ive got about 10 classic skins to choose from and its just as quick as it used to be!
