tracking impressions from 3rd party server
The company I work for is a streaming provider. However, we don't really stream in shoutcast. We also stream pre-roll or gateway ads before our streams. We have attempted to put advertising on other stations not on our network. The problems I have with Shoutcast are:
1) No matter what I write for launching from a website, shoutcast.com takes the feed from the server directly. 2) I can't dynamially feed new ads like I can using an ASP page and Windows Media. 3) Since I do not control the Shoutcast servers these stations are on, I cannot easily track on how many stream hits they have per day. The only way to do this that I know of is to sift through the log files and figure out which ones are openings and which ones are just songs the listener heard. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on #3? Thanks. |
That's what security is all about -- I can't help you there.
How about getting permission from the DNAS admins to give you the info? |
