Support for ASX and RM/RMB Format
 

Does anyone know if the team at WinAMP are thinking of adding support for the asx, rm/rmb auido format? This format is used for NetRadio broadcasts in the UK by some of the stations.

as for real playlists, it's on my todo list but there's no eta on it (unless the formats are simple and then i may be able to add them in sooner rather than later since time is precious and all that :) )

Real Player formats are supported in Winamp via the Tara Plugin.(Use Real Alternative if you don't have/want Real Player installed) The usual playlist files for Real content are either .RAM or .SMIL.

I'm not familiar with .rmb files. If you have a link to a station that uses them perhaps you could post back and I'll see if I can get them to play with what I have installed.

i should've mentioned in_tara though i find the way it doesn't expand the real format playlists a bit worrying since i prefer to see what it is winamp is being made to try to play but that's just me, heh

last i recall.. asx is a windows media playlist
i would try using real alternative and the dshow plugin to play it with winamp

asx is a windows media playlist though with the method you've said, if it worked then there wouldn't have been the need to make a plugin which will allow Winamp to read them ;)
