Last week, I failed a certification test to use film cameras. Tonight I retook it, but I passed. The difference? This week, I had Mentos.

Mr Jones 6th October 2005 07:32

Dude, you're a lot smaller than I imagined you to be....

Germ 6th October 2005 09:17

no nipples either

LuigiHann 6th October 2005 12:08

Yeah, that's not me. That's a random Mentos-related pic. But yeah.

Mattress 6th October 2005 22:02

since when does anyone need to be certified to use a film camera?

or are we talking a movie camera or something?

Bilbo Baggins 6th October 2005 22:41

shakey_snake 7th October 2005 01:22

Oh that's true, "film camera" was kinda vague. I'm talking several-thousand-dollar movie camera here. They don't let you take those out of the building unless you know your stuff.

...and don't randomly trip over stuff.

Wolfgang 7th October 2005 18:10

I tripped over a bin and crashed into an NMR machine last year and broke some dials on it. It cost £400 to repair, but the government paid because the bin wasn't supposed to be there.

ElChevelle 7th October 2005 23:48

WTF is an NMR machine?

Wolfgang 7th October 2005 23:55

An £800 000 Nuclear Magnetic Resonance machine. It's used to identify substances and to characterise them. If you make a compound and you don't know what it is, doing NMR can tell you what it is.

Extremely geeky chemistry shit.

ElChevelle 7th October 2005 23:59

God, I'd love to have one of those.

Wolfgang 8th October 2005 00:02

It's the same as an MRI machine, the ones you can get into for a full-body scan. They're just huge fuck-off electromagnets.
