Streaming to external server?

I am trying to stream to an external server and I have looked for information on how to configure the DSP plugin. Is there a tutorial for this, and if not, can someone help me out? I would greatly appreciate it!

Use the external server IP, port and password in the DSP. That's all there is to it.

OK tried that...

The only thing is that I was sent a name (ie server2.xyz.com) instead of an IP number. Would that affect operation?

get the ip and add it into the dsp and it should be fine,
providing the server is up,

if you have been sent this information by a stream host then it is their job to get you streaming and should contact them for assistance.
