Password Change in linux server
 
Hi i purchased a shoutcast server off a company and got a couple of people to dj , now i dont want them to dj but they do because of spite, to stop this i need to change my password but how ?
P.S. i do have admin pass

then you need to contact the host about changing the passwords, this can only be done by altering the config file, and restarting the server.

ps -aux |grep sc_serv

then

kill -9 (PID)

PID is the process ID that came back from the ps -aux command

Best to contact the host to make sure that they are aware of these DJ that you dont want on.

Thanks, I was just looking to change my password, like to do that now and then.

well remember if you change the password sc_serv must be stopped/killed then restarted or it will not read the password you just changed to.
