Password Change in linux server
Hi i purchased a shoutcast server off a company and got a couple of people to dj , now i dont want them to dj but they do because of spite, to stop this i need to change my password but how ?
P.S. i do have admin pass Thanks in advance Zac :) |
then you need to contact the host about changing the passwords, this can only be done by altering the config file, and restarting the server.
|
How do you restart the server?
|
ps -aux |grep sc_serv
then kill -9 (PID) PID is the process ID that came back from the ps -aux command Best to contact the host to make sure that they are aware of these DJ that you dont want on. ~ D |
Thanks, I was just looking to change my password, like to do that now and then.
|
well remember if you change the password sc_serv must be stopped/killed then restarted or it will not read the password you just changed to.
