Did you upgrade from 98 to XP? You might need to get the XP drivers.

tuckerm 20th November 2005 23:09

well kinda...we had to put 98 on there but didnt upgrade...did a clean install...where would i find those drivers tho

Bilbo Baggins 20th November 2005 23:14

Either www.nvidia.com or www.ati.com depending on what chipset your card has.

Personally, I would put the sRGB Color Space profile there, default it and be done with it.

Well, it is definately a driver problem. Same thing happened with my friend. All that we needed to do was to install the drivers from the CD he got with his ASUS motherboard and all went fine.. You can check for drivers at your manufacturers site or ask windows to do so.

Go to: Control Panel>System>Device Manager, select the device with an alert symbol, right click on it and click on properties. In the window go to the 'drivers' tab and select 'Install Drivers' or 'Reinstall drivers'. Ask XP to search for appropriate drivers on the web. There is an option, i just am not remebering it...
