Static/Hiss when WinAmp is played
 

Hello,

When I pay tunes with Winamp,lately I get a hiss whenever a song starts. When song ends, it stops until the new song is played. When I play the same songs in Windows Media Player, there is no hiss. Any ideas on this.

Try the DirectSound tweaks. Close & restart Winamp after the DS tweaks. Although not necessary, you may also want close Windows and reboot the computer. Some users have found changes to DS don't fully take effect until a reboot.
