unable to connect to internet radio/video through winamp
well to start off with i just recently downloaded microsoft antispyware and it has a tool in it to where you can turn off startup programs. i turned off winamp, restarted my computer, then had nothing but problems. ultimately, i had to uninstall winamp and redownload it from this site. after i reinstalled it i haven't been able to connect to xm radio or anything under the internet radio selection. it shows up as 0 selections like nothing was ever there. is there anyone out there who can help me fix this problem b/c i am really craving my xm stations. everything else in winamp is workin great, except that. i couldn't even register it when i reinstalled it either. NEED HELP!!! thanks, jeff

Sounds to me like a firewall is blocking internet access for winamp.exe By the way, to disable the Winamp Agent, go to: Winamp > Prefs > File Types and uncheck the 3 options under there (enable agent, show systray icon, etc). No need to use some external app for that. |

you have been able to change the programs that start with windows for ages... start, run, "msconfig". 'startup' tab. can also be done via regedit. |
