Install-problems
I've tried to download Winamp, the "full" version. I've gotten the .exe-file but when I try to open it, I get this pop-up sayning:
The installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete. This could be the result of a damaged disk, a failed download or a virus. You may want to contact the author of this installer to obtain a new copy. It may be possible to skip this check usin the /NCRC command line switch (NOT RECOMMENDED) So, I've tried downloading it again, and I've run two anti-virus programs but it still wonät work, does anybody have an idea on how to make this work? |
Try clearing your browser's cache. Delete all affected existing downloads of Winamp.
Also, if you use normally use Microsoft Internet Explorer and Windows XP, try downloading Winamp using Firefox or Mozilla. Hope this helps, jmat |
In addition to jmat's stuff...
If you using a third party download accelerator/manager, disable it prior to download Winamp. Also click here for steps on clearing caches for various browsers. |
