Keeping the gap (no fading or anything)

I'm having trouble getting winamp's buffer to play CD tracks and normal mp3s the full length. I have a lot of music where the sound continues well into the next track, and Winamp still has a tiny gap between songs, or it fades and cuts off the tip of the song. Best example I have is I'm listening to Jeff Beck's Who Else! and at the end of the first track, you're supposed to hear two different voices saying, "Did y'all hear what Mama said?" "Yeah." But it cuts off and skips to the next song the second I hear 'mama'.

I've been increasing the buffer in the configuration and trying to reduce any properties telling Winamp to fade anything to no avail. I just want to play my music smoothly.

It's kind of a minor gripe (but rather annoying to me), but if Winamp can't play a goddamn CD/mp3s like a normal CD player, I'm calling Winamp a failure of a music playback program.
