Song title problems
I'm using the newest version of Winamp. I opened up one of my playlists in Windows Media Player 9 and when I went back to the Winamp and opened the same playlist, it wouldn't automatically change the song titles as they were shown in the file info thing. It showed the file name instead.
Instead of showing: Metric - Empty It now shows the file name: metric_empty.mp3 Is there anyway to fix it so it'll format it automatically? |
Try playing the files. Do the titles in the playlist revert to the tag format (Metric - Empty, for instance)? You may need to resave it for the changes to take effect.
|
They do, but they used to change when Winamp was opened, not just when they were played.
|
Maybe this....
1. Winamp > Ctrl+P 2. General Preferences > Titles 3. 'Metadata Reading' box > select 'Read Metadata...' option of choice |
It didn't help, sorry.
It also doesn't show how long the songs are, it displays 0.00. |
Please provide system specs. What do you have for third party Winamp plug-ins (if any)?
|
I had Sigamp, but my account there got deleted so it doesn't work anymore.
Also I have last.fm one too. |
As a test, I opened a M3U playlist (made in Winamp) in WiMP9 and saved it under a different name. Then opened that "new" playlist in Winamp and had the same issue you are experiencing. Apparently WiMP alters the extended M3U info which contains the titles track times. :( Not a Winamp thing.
