Well, my opinion is that music are divided in two parts (Except for instrumental ...)
The Rhythm (Instrumental part ... ) and the lyrics.
But, don't you people think that sometimes "That lyric should be elsewhere .." or ... "This music makes me feel like dancin' but the lyrics ... soooo stupid ..."

This happens sometimes to me ...
So, can you name any examples ?

To me

Sean Paul - We Be Burnin'
Nice rhythm ... the very best of the worst lyrics ...

Anything from metalcore bands with a lead screamer; Arch Enemy, some Trivium, old The Haunted...

Music's heavy, but come on; Let's get someone who can actually sing, or at least allow me to understand the lyrics if you're going to put any there... :D

I prefer bands that get both parts right, lyrics within the context of the music.

As for screaming, as Viper says, you may as well not have lyrics at all, just someone with a "gob". :D

Metal lyrics that consist of screaming are only legit if the lead screamer has had his tongue torn out by hot pincers.

Otherwise he's just a poser.

Most all vocal trance/eurodance/happy hardcore
Any rap song where they are repeatedly saying 'nigger'

Actually you could ditch all lyrics from most rap and it'd be much imporved.

Children of Bodom sometimes does this - great music ruined by vocals.

the band cacophony does this too - amazing music terrible singing.

a lot of dark/death metal has this problem.

Yeah ... like Sepultura also ...
