With an absurdly long playlist (800+ entries), WinAmp will freeze if you scroll rapidly down it.
We're talking a Win98, 2.62 sort of freeze. You have to ctrl-alt-delete kill it... poor thing.
If I am redundantly redundant, excuse me in advance.

YES! I noticed that too. Its really annoying! I have over 2000 mp3s but I have to just the [J]ump function to get to ANY file because is locks up the whole system. I've noticed this ever since 2.6x!

i have just under 2,000 mp3s in my list, and i can scroll from top to bottom as fast as i want without a crash.

on a remote idea... are these playlists that you've used before? more specifically, has winamp had time to grab all the extended data for the files? if it hasn't, it will try to read the info as you scroll down the list. if you're moving past hundreds of files per second and your harddrive isn't top of the line, you might be asking it to do too much at once.
