Banned & Nak

Hello,

My server is banned and i don't know why... I have this message :

01/21/06@21:26:51> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave error (nak)
<01/21/06@21:26:51> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (This network has been permanently banned due to a previous violation of the SHOUTcast directory terms of service.)

The shoutcast is : 193.24.215.84:8007

Anybody know ? I have already see all others posts with the same problem...

robertr994 21st January 2006 22:46

Yeah, My servers all have the same thing listed, WHATS GOING ON?????? I havent dont anything wrong

robertr994 21st January 2006 23:29

Found out more..... I use 2 different providers, one of them is banned......Shoutcast Banned the IP's, Those IP's have several stations on it that are NOT run by me.

IF shoutcast is going to BAN, Ban the Station not the WHOLE SERVER PROVIDER......Viastream IP http://s4.viastreaming.net:7140/listen.pls
http://s4.viastreaming.net:7220/listen.pls

Germ 21st January 2006 23:43

And what do we do ? Wait ? Can no admin do something?

it's incredible...

My server is banned but the relay is not...

Your provider is responsible for acting on your behalf only they can get the server unbanned by coordinating with us as to the removal of the offender from their system. Banning a single port or server instance is a waste because most offenders just use a home pc and flip the port around to attempt to get around the ban. Also remember that none of your providers are affiliated with the yp system here at Nullsoft, we nor they can guarentee a listing.

I personally think it is a BUG at Nullsoft and not the provider.....seems to be to many with the exact same problem ....Remote servers being banned and all at the same time. To many to be just one provider.

Got a idea, tell who ever messed with the Nullsoft equipment yesterday to Put the crackpipe down and back away slowly.... then have him/her undo what the did yesterday to the system.....it will be fixed

thibotus01 22nd January 2006 12:15

robert your problem has been fixed ? me not...

the problem wont go away, you have been banned from the shoutcast listings, your still broadcasting your just not listed at yp.shoutcast.com.

it may of been you who did it or someone else, there are only a hand ful of people that can unban you, contact them in private message other than that theres nothing you can do.

WEll, it sure wasnt anything I did..... and I really dont know who to private message about this, maybe they will see this and either private message me or just fix the problem, I did leave the server addresses on the above post

Germ, CraigF, or KXRM have the un-banning powers, talk to them in private message, other than that you cant do anything about it.

KXRM said that in PM : someone used this subnet to stream small amounts of content on SHOUTcast tv, typically to advertise some other service unrelated to winamp.

... and ?

I have no clue, nothing has changed here in 2 years, I dont have aval bandwidth to stream TV

Germ 22nd January 2006 14:20

I went ahead and unbanned 193.24.215.* - It was banned for short content so if someone you know is streaming under 30 mins of original content then that's who's getting you banned.
