Winamp user/download statistics?

I'm wondering if there are any statistics on how many users/downloads Winamp has? I understand the answer would be incredibly inaccurate but just a pointer would be great.

It did once upon a time tell you what installation number you were when you installed, but that vanished a long time back, last I remember it was a very big number.

the reason the file was in a certain format was due to the number of colours iirc. basically, the performance of the compression best fit the format the graphic was saved as.

im unsure if the current graphics have maintained this compression scheme. obviously, every little bit of winamp tries its hardest to be as small as possible.

and itunes? dear god.

Anyone care to venture a guess on the userbase? :D

Actually I made that site years ago and I've fallen out of lust with iTunes (and Apple) somewhat. But I cant be arsed to switch really.

I haven't yet encounter winamp4, coz winamp does not release it..

You mean you want to estimating numbers of winamp user/download!!!

How can you do this? Is it possible?
I am very eager to know statistics.
