error when trying to play song
I am a noob (some of the acronyms I see on the site are driving me crazy) to this but I have read the sticky and followed countless tutorials. I have tried to install on Red Hat 9 and then listen on another computer which is a windows box with winamp installed. I want to create a "jukebox" out of my linux server, so links of my songs show up on a web page.
I have a couple of songs in the content folder which is in the same directory as sc_serv. I have started the server and when I click on one of the songs I get: Not Found The requested URL /shoutcast/content/song.pls was not found on this server. Apache/1.3.26 Server at 127.0.0.1 Port 80 If I change the file extension to .mp3 it will download and play in winamp, but that is no good. It seems to me like it is acting like the server isn't working? I haven't been able to find any information on this. Have I missed something or not done everything necessary? Thank you for your time and consideration, oach Here is my log file from the last start up: <01/28/06@00:32:54> [SHOUTcast] DNAS/Linux v1.9.5 (Dec 27 2004) starting up... <01/28/06@00:32:54> [main] pid: 12952 <01/28/06@00:32:54> [main] loaded config from ./sc_serv.conf <01/28/06@00:32:54> [main] initializing (usermax:5 portbase:8000)... <01/28/06@00:32:54> [main] No ban file found (sc_serv.ban) <01/28/06@00:32:54> [main] No rip file found (sc_serv.rip) <01/28/06@00:32:55> [main] opening source socket <01/28/06@00:32:55> [main] source thread starting <01/28/06@00:32:55> [source] listening for connection on port 8001 <01/28/06@00:32:55> [main] opening client socket <01/28/06@00:32:55> [main] Client Stream thread [0] starting <01/28/06@00:32:55> [main] client main thread starting |
Anyone have any ideas on what I can check with this problem?
