big problem
hi there,
A half year ago i bought my first comp. so my knowledge about comp. is very low but i am learning every day, for days now i am trying to figure out what i am doing wrong but.. nothing! :mad: After i hit connect my status turns from not connected to "receiving authorization response" after i "kill the server" and put him back on i get connected some times (but very rarely) because on my dsp i see the time and data i am broadcasting and on my server i see this 1/27/06@10:17:55> [SHOUTcast] DNAS/win32 v1.9.5 (Dec 27 2004) starting up... <01/27/06@10:17:55> [main] loaded config from C:\Program Files (x86)\SHOUTcast\sc_serv.ini <01/27/06@10:17:55> [main] initializing (usermax:10 portbase:8000)... <01/27/06@10:17:55> [main] No ban file found (sc_serv.ban) <01/27/06@10:17:55> [main] No rip file found (sc_serv.rip) <01/27/06@10:17:55> [main] opening source socket <01/27/06@10:17:55> [main] source thread starting <01/27/06@10:17:55> [main] opening client socket <01/27/06@10:17:55> [source] listening for connection on port 8001 <01/27/06@10:17:55> [main] Client Stream thread [0] starting <01/27/06@10:17:55> [main] client main thread starting <01/27/06@10:17:58> [source] connected from 127.0.0.1 <01/27/06@10:17:59> [source] icy-name:#AFRICAN INNA BABYLON# ; icy-genre:REGGAE/HIP HOP/REGGAE <01/27/06@10:17:59> [source] icy-pub:1 ; icy-br:40 ; icy-url:http://www.shoutcast.com <01/27/06@10:17:59> [source] icy-irc:#shoutcast ; icy-icq:0 ; icy-aim:N/A <01/27/06@10:18:00> [dest: 207.200.98.3] starting stream (UID: 0)[L: 1]{A: SHOUTcast Directory Tester}(P: 0) <01/27/06@10:18:12> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com added me successfully <01/27/06@10:18:15> [dest: 207.200.98.3] connection closed (16 seconds) (UID: 0)[L: 0]{Bytes: 253952}(P: 0) <01/27/06@10:19:12> [yp_tch] yp.shoutcast.com touched! <01/27/06@10:24:13> [yp_tch] yp.shoutcast.com touched! <01/27/06@10:29:14> [yp_tch] yp.shoutcast.com touched! that means i am broadcasting right? what i also dont understand is on my server on the bottom right corner i see sometimes 1/10 and sometimes this 0/10 i read somwhere that this means that i have 1 of 10 listeners is listening but how i can have 1 listener all the time the second i connect (0/10 i understand ) and there is something else after i put my server on (doesnt matter if i am broadcasting or not) i cant serve the internet is that normal? When on my dsp i get the message "receiving authorization response" (that is 9of10 times)on my server log i get this message but i cant see a error <01/27/06@01:30:25> [SHOUTcast] DNAS/win32 v1.9.5 (Dec 27 2004) starting up... <01/27/06@01:30:25> [main] loaded config from C:\Program Files (x86)\SHOUTcast\sc_serv.ini <01/27/06@01:30:25> [main] initializing (usermax:10 portbase:8000)... <01/27/06@01:30:25> [main] No ban file found (sc_serv.ban) <01/27/06@01:30:25> [main] No rip file found (sc_serv.rip) <01/27/06@01:30:25> [main] opening source socket <01/27/06@01:30:25> [main] source thread starting <01/27/06@01:30:25> [main] opening client socket <01/27/06@01:30:25> [source] listening for connection on port 8001 <01/27/06@01:30:25> [main] Client Stream thread [0] starting <01/27/06@01:30:25> [main] client main thread starting <01/27/06@01:33:15> [main] shutting down via UI. <01/27/06@01:33:15> [main] connecting to yp.shoutcast.com to remove myself before I die. i downloaded winamp 5.12 i installed the dsp plugin changed the password (changme) on my dsp and on my server i tried using yport 666 and not yport 80 but nothing helps could someone help me and seriously telling me what i am doing wrong you would let me feel very happy ;) |

Hi thanks for the replies,
i did a speed test and these were the results i dont know if this is good or not :::.. Upload Stats ..::: Connection is:: 296 Kbps about 0.3 Mbps (tested with 579 kB) Upload Speed is:: 36 kB/s Tested From:: http://testmy.net (server1) Test Time:: Sat Jan 28 19:39:53 UTC+0100 2006 Bottom Line:: 5X faster than 56K 1MB upload in 28.44 sec Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 54.21 % of your hosts average (chello.nl) Validation Link:: http://testmy.net/stats/id-K9H2G8EBL |
now i have these results so maybe sometimes i dont have enough upload speed and that is why sometimes i cant broadcast? if someone can explain please do. thanks! :::.. Upload Stats ..:::
Connection is:: 981 Kbps about 1 Mbps (tested with 1496 kB) Upload Speed is:: 120 kB/s Tested From:: http://testmy.net (server1) Test Time:: Sat Jan 28 21:28:43 UTC+0100 2006 Bottom Line:: 18X faster than 56K 1MB upload in 8.53 sec Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 79.01 % faster than the average for host (chello.nl) Validation Link:: http://testmy.net/stats/id-WKN2VCYH8 |
