Sony Walkman NW E107--That was your first mistake...

I used to use a minidisc player, I think you need to install the stuff off the CD then plug it in, and if that doesnt work then good luck. Also you might want to go to sony's website for updates.......IDK. Its like 3 in the morning and im tired..........good luck.....

Second mistake was thinking this was a Sony support forum.

Have you considered contacting Sony support?, looking for a online Sony support forum? or even taking it back to where you bought it from?

Wild ideas I know.

So Sony couldn't help you with their own product, but an online AOL media forum can?

What other online forums have you tried, out of curiosity?

On my search for help I found a person on this site that had the same problem as I and as I was getting to the end of the road with this problem I thought I might give it a try. Never used a forum before so for my first time you have put me off not to try again with your comments not very helpfull

Well, had I purchased a Sony walkman and had failed to install it after 3 weeks of trying both the included instructions that came with it and any associated Sony helplines etc etc, I would have returned it to where I bought it and said..'Sorry , this prodcuct you sold me appears to be faulty, I would either like to exchange it for a replacement or have my money refunded'

Quoting the consumer sale of goods act for good measure, details here.

I am trying to sort it out for my 11 year old niece, and after reading that may people have had the same problem I was just looking for some help before I advised that was the way to go, and the process of sorting it out gives me added knowlage of how things like this work including forums whch now you have given me a bad experiance of.

These other people, how did they resolve their issues?, have a link to any of these threads?

In the meantime, have you read this urgent message from Sony regarding software problems?
http://www.sony.net/Products/OpenMG/support/840987/

That's a year or so old however, so I guess you already dealt with that.

You may also want to try update your Sonicstage installs, firmware updates etc etc, details here.

If you've done all that and tried solutions from everywhere else, then I really would suggest something is astray with your walkman and I really would return it to where it came from and ask them for a refund/replacement.
