stream blocked

Hi
i posted a while a go about my stream being blocked from the shoutcast library. I then was told to contact a certain user(s) then did so. It has now been a bit more then a week and i have not heard back. THis brings me to ask what is wrong, and why the responcible parties are not doing their duties as shoutcast moderators.
I in no way shape or form wish to stepp on toes or ruffle anyone, however i think its very important that this be adressed, as i'm sure others have similar troubles.
Shoutcast is a very active comunity, and many people use it, so i feel it is in the best interest of the comunity to have active moderators who are concerned with the happyness of its user base.

thanks
tj

Blame those that try our patience in a game of cat and mouse day after day after day. I have little energy to chase up any and all people who come to me with their sob stories when i have no way to validate them as not being the person who was banned in the first place.

The message is that all bans are final and wont be lifted. contrary to that, lots do get lifted. Think of it as a bonus.

If you dont get a response, im afraid you just got normal service rather than special consideration.

well you need to watch what your users broadcast if you care about yp support. SHOUTcast and Nullsoft have the right to protect themselves against your users. Your users broadcast copyrighted stuff that has been complained about through AOL legal. It's a done deal.

That means your stream is no longer listed, and that you or someone using your subnet has broken one of our streaming rules. You may post a thread or PM me [Germ], KXRM or Craig and we can tell you the reason behind the ban and decide what future actions need to be taken.
If you PM someone else, don't be too shocked if they can't do anything and make fun of you for clearly not reading.

ban rules

is it possible that one could "break the rules" without any config changes after months of trouble-free streaming? is it possible to include more detail in the error message so that the admin responsible can remediate and bring the config into compliance?

Jay 22nd February 2006 22:38

most bans that come after months of trouble free operation are due to complaints about your content.
