The question is, what's the point?, even if you played every track once without taking a break for sleep, eating and anything else real life might throw at you it'd still take you how long to hear them all?

ScorLibran 31st January 2006 18:29

Some people are collectors rather than users.

Maybe he's collecting all the music in the world.

Cylob 1st February 2006 06:34

Even a million would only be scratching the surface.

Then, there's all the material on the 'net (unsigned bands and the like).

Point aside, it'd be nice if he could get it all on a CD and ship it. :D

btw respect!

Nah, that's called "Hobby".

martin.deimos 1st February 2006 09:31

hobby is a good name for it!

martin.deimos 1st February 2006 09:35

have u got duplicate entries?

Cylob 1st February 2006 10:28

There must be duplicate entries (greatest hits, compilations etc), and given that he has 15 x HD's, it can't all be tucked away in one folder (imagine that). :D

martin.deimos 1st February 2006 10:54

sorry, I forgot about that

You gotta start somewhere. ;)

The good news is that once he's reached his goal, he'll also have another record..."Most magnetic media storage capacity on a home computer network, at 951 yottabytes."

:p

martin.deimos 2nd February 2006 12:44

...you have ~900.000 mp3s.
one CD contains ~15 tracks
-> 60.000 Albums
-> one album costs ~10$

You must have paid over 600.000$ for CDs!!
have u won a lottery?

Cylob 2nd February 2006 14:38

Isn't it great, the way music doubles up as data. :D
