Headphones/Speakers Working Together
 

If you have read my previous questions, forget about them. I have a newer question. Previously i have found out what was wrong with my speakers, which was that the speakers would not work as long as i also had my headphones plugged in at the same time. In otherwords, the speakers will only work if my headphones are not plugged in while i have them cut on.

Here is my question does anyone know how i can get my headphones and my speakers to work at the same time. On my older computer they could work together, so how can i get my new computer to do the same thing.

I contacted Emachines, and they said i would need a special sound card to be able to do this, but helpfully that splitter will do the same.

as long as your speakers run off a single cable to the sound card then that will work. if you've got multiple connectors (like with a 5.1 system) then a soundcard which supports it is the only way i know of
