Im in the same boat... might be cuz we are both from RI?

Nick@ss 22nd February 2006 06:23

please keep it to 1 thread and you have pmed me and asked for help and told me that you have read the all the tutorials in under 5 minutes so i dont think you are really trying that hard....

people dont really aim you and hold your hand and a little basic understanding is required,

read the 15 steps in the sticky threads if you havent looked allready,

RyanFiske 22nd February 2006 06:32

I have looked man, it is stuff that I don't understand...editing the sc_serv or whatever and all of that...wtf?

Evil Lu 22nd February 2006 06:37

The tutorials you were previously linked to explained it in baby-speak. You don't even need to be technically minded to follow those. When I first wrote my one (linked in signature and also by nick@ss previously) I tested it on my (then) 11 year old daughter who worked it out without any problems. As Nick@ss says, read and learn.

Pseudisodomous 22nd February 2006 06:44

ok look its not working. Im not a baby. I can do this stuff but i dont know why its not working. People dont need to hold my hand. I just wanted a live discussion and possible test it out with me. god damnit people.

Evil Lu 22nd February 2006 06:45

You don't even say what's not working. How is anyone meant to help unless they're psychic?

Pseudisodomous 22nd February 2006 07:03

ummmm im on winamp shoutcast and clicking connect... not connected

Evil Lu 22nd February 2006 07:05

You really need to give a lot more information if you want help quicker.
1. Have you downloaded the "be a server" software as well as the DSP?
2. Have you configured the DSP and the DNAS?
3. If you have the DNAS are you getting errors in the log?

If you have read all the tutorials and still can't figure it out......maybe shoutcast is not for you, not trying to be rude but if you do a walk through one step at a time you should be up and running in no time!!

RyanFiske 22nd February 2006 21:56

Yeah, it's all set now, thank-you so much guys, and sorry about being lazy earlier, lol...how do I get that thing though? Where it shows what is playing now and how many people are listening?
