Winamp crash on startup
 

I have just updated to 5.20 from 5.13, the installation was successful, but everytime i go to start the program it crashes, and a win xp error report comes up. I guess you will need more info, so just tell me what you need and ill write it here.

I have tried installation twice, and the error report refrences icm32.dll..

it sounds trite.. but try uninstalling the program, and all plugins associated with winamp.

If you want, put them into a directory and move the directory out of c:/Program Files/Winamp

Go back and install.

If WA 5.20 works, then reload your plugins.

This has happened to me twice now. Getting rid of plugins really works!

Hello! I'm having the same problem - Winamp now comes up with this mess every time I try to open it:

I've tried a 'clean' uninstall (getting rid of all plug-ins etc), reinstalling without the Sonic recorder thingy, and even a system restore, but nothing seems to work :(

Any help would be REALLY appreciated! Thanks! :)

THe same problem here - crash at icm32.dll (floating division by zero). Verified, that removing gen_ml.dll overcomes this problem (but that's not a solution: I use Media Library a lot).

Well i cant do without ml, ill try a clean install on monday when i get back home, thanks for the tips guys!
