WTF?!?!
I upgraded to Winamp 5.2 from 5.something (don't recall exact version). Whenever I try to open it, it crashes. In fact, I don't even SEE the bloomin' UI! The only reason I know it crashes is because I opened up the Windows Task Manager, clicked on the "Processes" tab, then clicked on the Winamp desktop icon. "winamp.exe" appeared in the processes list for LESS THAN ONE SECOND and then disappeared. What's the deal?!?!
I have been using Winamp as my audio file player of choice for about 6 years now, and have been very satisfied with it. I do NOT wish to have to switch to another player because of this issue. My operating system is Windows XP Professional with SP2. |
Me too
The exact same is happening to me...

same thing again!!!
I've had the same problem.. Come on guys... 3 times... more then a coincidence... 3 differents users, exactly the same problem.. By the way, i have just formatted my computer, installed windows xp (legal copy by the way) did the security updates, sp1 sp2, installed office, then Norton, then winamp... so i don't have a lot of stuff crowding Winamp ... it's THE last winamp version..
please advise... |
this winamp is bunk. I'm tempted to move over to Sonique if that is still around.

Hmm, after i upgraded winamp to 5.2, i sometimes got an error, following a blue screen (windows xp) and my computer starting up again. after a few times every time i start winamp it crashes which forces the computer to start up again.
Don't know the problem, i tried installing 5.13 again, but that didn't help. |
Does the problem still occur on a clean install?
