"Error: Can't open decoder" when burning
I spliced together a medley of WAVs I ripped with Winamp using Audacity. I exported the file as a WAV using Audacity and am now trying to burn it to a CD with Winamp. After clicking the 'Burn' button on the screen with options on how to burn, I get the "Error: Can't open decoder" message immediately afterwards. Does anyone know what this means or how I can get Winamp to burn this track?

Seems to be a problem with the new in_wave v3.0
If using 5.21, you can try the alternative DirectShow playback method (ie. making in_dshow the default WAV handler instead of in_wave), as described here Or you can switch back to old in_wave 2.x from Winamp 5.13 (link here), though note that old in_wave doesn't support 32-bit float point wav or multi-user profile setups. |
